With the explosive growth of MMA there is a strong demand for shin guards that are specifically designed for full contact standup sparring and ground fighting. Companies big and small are struggling to produce a winner. The perfect shin guard should have the following features:

1. The padding should not be hard and stiff but should be shock absorbent. This however seems like a paradox. Because if the padding is shock absorbent, it will have to be dense and consequently, hard. But a hard padding impairs the ground training. However, if it is made soft and flexible, then it may not be as protective.
2. The strapping system should provide strong grip to the leg and prevent the shin pad from shifting.
3. The exterior material should be strong to withstand extreme wear and tear.

This seems like a lot to ask from one product. However, aries is in the process of designing a MMA shin guard that will have exactly these features. It will have a padding system that will be very flexible and yet extremely protective. This has been accomplished by months of research and permutations. It will also have a strapping system which will be exclusive and unique to not allow any possible shifting of the pad, and as has been the tradition with all aries products, the exterior leather will be of high quality, coupled with careful attention to workmanship.

As a lot of the design features are exclusive and proprietary, we can not give much more information about it at this point.
